The Constellations Center for Equity in Computing launches the CS Equity Coaches Project

The Constellations Center for Equity in Computing (Constellations) at Georgia Tech has launched the CS Equity Coaches Project, a research-based program focused on enhancing the instructional capacity of highly motivated CS teachers in implementing identity-inclusive computing (IIC) pedagogy. The project aims to build a community of reflective practitioners to promote equity in CS education, specifically targeting teachers of Advanced Placement CS (AP CS Principles or AP CS A) in Georgia. The ideal candidates are willing to learn IIC pedagogy, apply it to increase student belonging and achievement, and counteract systemic barriers that perpetuate identity bias. They must also be eager to learn from others, nurture a diverse and inclusive environment, and be certified/credentialed high school CS teachers in Georgia. Learn more and apply here.
