On February 15, 2023, Dr. Safiya Noble, Professor of Gender Studies and African American Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), will receive the 2023 Miles Conrad Award. The Miles Conrad Award is a lifetime achievement award, which is presented by the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) to those working in the information community. Dr. Noble is also the best-selling author of Algorithms of Oppression: How Search Engines Reinforce Racism (NYU Press).
