Yerika Jimenez, Ph.D., selected as Keynote Speaker for Supera Spanish Speaking Program at Kean University
Yerika Jimenez, Ph.D., is an AiiCE Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University and has been selected as a keynote speaker for the Supera Spanish Speaking Program at Kean University. The program aims to provide English Language Learners with greater access to higher education opportunities. Yerika earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Kean University and a Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from the University of Florida. During her graduate studies, Yerika earned acclaim as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, and her research focuses on Computer Science Education, Learning Technologies, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Yerika is committed to mentoring students, especially those who are first-generation college students. Her keynote speech promises to inspire students and educators alike.
