As Sr. Director of IT Services & Support, Evan works to foster an innovative, collaborative technology environment and provide a wide range of services to the Duke community. He is responsible for Duke’s enterprise media architecture, academic content production, endpoint and device management, technology and customer support, creative and user experience services, makerspaces, physical and virtual labs, co-curricular technical education, software licensing, and related campus services.
Evan oversees Duke’s IT Council, a collaborative advisory team comprised of IT leadership from each academic unit. Additionally, he co-chairs Duke’s Web Governance committee, providing strategic direction for Duke’s web services, hosting, security, and best practices.
Evan has been at Duke for over 15 years, beginning his career in OIT's Service Desk and performing numerous roles in software licensing, lab engineering, and academic technologies. When not hard at work, Evan “relaxes" by moonlighting as a racing driver, motorsports instructor, and co-founder/series director of the Spec E46 racing class.
