Krystal Chatman is an educator of 15 years passionate about empowering learners to transform their community with technological solutions. As an Instructional Technology Facilitator in the Jackson Public School District, she supports PK-12 educators in integrating technology into pedagogical practices.
Committed to high-quality and identity-focused computer science and STEM education, Krystal also serves as an instructor at Mississippi Coding Academies and holds leadership roles in the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) where she currently serves as CSTA-Mississippi Chapter President and is a 2022-2023 Equity Fellow. Krystal contributes to national identity-focused computer science professional development as a Scaling Inclusive Pedagogy (ScIP) project facilitator and has shared her instructional practices and strategies with educators globally.
