Dr. Briana Bettin presents workshop on sustainability at LUT University in Finland

Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Fellow, Dr. Briana Bettin presented a Transformative Workshop on Sustainability at LUT University in Finland: Footprints and Footholds: Sustainable Imagining Using Social Lenses. Dr Bettin is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Cognitive and Learning Sciences at Michigan Technological University. As a 3C Fellow, Dr. Bettin developed a Cultural Competency Upper-Level CS course: Reimagining Technofuturism, which was the basis for the half-day workshop in Finland at LUT University and part of a research collaboration effort with Jari Porras D.S and his lab on sustainability. The workshop provided attendees with an introductory exploration into identity-inclusive topics.
