Duke University professors offer free courses in programming, logic, and critical thinking.

Duke University professors, including Professor Owen Astrachan, are providing a valuable educational opportunity to students in Ukraine by offering courses in programming, logic, and critical thinking for free. Astrachan, who teaches the coding courses with three colleagues, expressed his pride in their contribution to the support of the Ukrainian people, "It's a small contribution we are making, but we are so grateful that we can make it, and that Duke has supported us in making it." Dr. Astrachan is also a Professor of the Practice of Computer Science and Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Computer Science at Duke University. Additionally, he serves as Senior Personnel and Backbone Deputy Director for The Alliance for Identity-Inclusive Computing Education (AiiCE).
