Maria Mercedes Franco, Ph.D. co-designs a Community of Practice (CoP)

Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Fellow, Maria Mercedes Franco, Ph.D. co-designed and co-developed a Community of Practice (CoP) for Partners in Campus-Community Engagement, PCCE, entitled "Equity: Thought and Action." This 10-session CoP was offered over the course of the 2022-2023, and is a revised and extended version of a 6-session CoP that Dr. Franco co-facilitated in Fall 2021 for Campus Compact of New York and Pennsylvania (CCNYPA) entitled "Beyond the Rhetoric: DEI Lived Out on Campus." Dr. Maria Mercedes Franco is an Associate Professor and Chair of Mathematics and Computer Science at Queensborough Community College –The City University of New York.
