Barr secures NSF grant: "The efficacy of a computing-concepts video library for students and peer tutors in multidisciplinary contexts"
Congratulations to Dr. Valerie Barr on receiving a grant from the NSF for her groundbreaking project titled "The efficacy of a computing-concepts video library for students and peer tutors in multidisciplinary contexts." This project addresses a crucial national need by equipping non-computing faculty with the tools and resources necessary to integrate computing concepts into their curricula effectively. The development of the OCCTIVE video library, coupled with comprehensive support materials and faculty training initiatives, holds great promise in enhancing the accessibility of foundational computing concepts across diverse disciplines. Dr. Barr is a member of our Steering Committee and the Margaret Hamilton Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Bard College.
