Sephus receives BEYA 2024 Black Engineer Award

Congratulations to Dr. Nashlie Sephus, a member of the AiiCE External Advisory Board, who is the recipient of the BEYA 2024 Black Engineer of the Year Award, which recognizes outstanding Black engineers who have demonstrated remarkable accomplishments in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Serving as the Applied Science manager for Amazon Artificial Intelligence (AI), Dr. Sephus's work focuses on ensuring fairness and addressing biases in technologies. She holds a Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University. Dr. Sephus is also the founder and CEO of The Bean Path, a non-profit organization based in Jackson, MS.
